It says i have to download software 3.0 but my friends didnt download the software and yet they have those apps installed, whats wrong? Help please

You need to connect to a local wi-fi hotspot or you need your security key. I cant tell you any of those keys as everyone has their own unique one.

Yea I have the same problem.
Your friend probably downloaded those apps back when the 3.0 OS was not released. These apps now are updated to work for the new OS, so in order for you to download them, you have to upgrade to the new OS.
I had facebook on my iPod touch, then i deleted it by mistake. When I wanted to download it again, it said that I have to upgarde to 3.0 first.
