Question by akdmks_: iPhone Prepaid free internet & apps?
okay so my mom recently upgraded cellphone since a person from fido offered her another 3 year contract with an iPhone 3g. The phone came with it for free. Now she only agreed to that contract since i wanted the phone. I had an iTouch before and the only way you could use it’s apps and internet was if you had wifi. But on my iPhone i downloaded apps such as: Facebook, Twitter, etc. and they actually wored and I checked my balance right away but i wasn’t being charged. I could also use safari even if there’s no Wifi. Usually for prepaid customers we are being charged .15 per minute. So my question is, if everything i do on my iPhone is free, is my mom getting charged on it on her account since the iPhone is under her name.. hopefully not?

they cant charge ur mom bcuz her sim card isnt in the phone..unless she set up pay pal or something like that

I think you have some facts wrong. Fido doesn’t offer the iPhone as a prepaid. It has to be on a plan. And, as Fido offers data plans, unless she signed up for one, you will pay by the use. She needs to read the contract she signed with Fido (or you need to) to find out exactly what she signed up for.
