Question by Eric Finster: Has anybody else noticed that Lance Armstrong is a complete tool?
Seriously, I think we may have given this guy too much credit. Using twitter to send little catty snipes at his rivals is something more befitting of a 12-year old girl than a 7-time tour champion. I am aware that he beat cancer (largely because he doesn’t shut up about it), but am I missing something here?
For lazy-asses like Peter below, here is a link to one of this six trillion results you can get from a simple google news search on the subject. Bear in mind I don’t think much of Contador either… just exhausted trying to understand why this guys is considered such a model character.

P.S. Nice “burn” Peter… you might benefit from reading the news once in a while instead of posting 700+ asinine non-responses to questions.

Nobody ever said he was personable, just that he cycles like a bat out of hell.

Contador did call him out after the tdf and he wasn’t the best teammate as we saw around stage 19 when he left his fellow riders. You can’t blame either guy, LA is a 7 time champ and still a contender, AC is the most talented rider today. They are bound to clash.
Who goes on twitter ? I don’t. Yes, you are missing something. Cancer is a serious thing. He’s trying to help others by making more people aware of it. You’re not listening.
BTW, Alberto was a crappy team mate.
I’d have to give him credit. He really exposed cancer in the past year. The fact that cancer will be the the worlds deadliest disease out there over taking heart disease by 2010.
I would also have to admit that he is spoiled. If he wasn’t American, but still won 7 Tours and funded the cancer foundation, you probably wouldn’t have ever heard about him.
Lance Armstrong is far from the worlds best cyclist. Maybe 5-6 years ago but i wouldn’t put my money on it.
He’s a Tour de France rider and only sets his goals on the Tour de France. Nothing else.
It’s the American media who makes the little things a big deal. I’m American and I admit it and i bet my money other people do too.
I would still say Alberto wasn’t a great teammate. But he gets what he wants. He wanted a new team without Alberto, he got it.

I think you’re more worthy of the title of tool for using an answers forum to rant about someone you just don’t like. Yeah, you stepped in it.
For the benefit of those of us that don’t twitter, why don’t you post a link to some (or any) of these “snipes” Armstrong has made at other riders.
it’s interesting. Contador never goes overboard talking about his brain tumour in 2004 or so. indeed, i’ve never seen it mentioned. maybe he’s just more a private individual then armstrong
not wanting attention for attention sake.
