i am new to twitter and i am wondering how to send a direct message? when i click on 2 it and write ”@ then the name” and then my message its unable to send it.

On Twitter there are two ways to send message.

Public = @
Private = D

To send a private message to someone they need to be following you first. However, instead of having the @ sign before the USER ID you would have the D symbol.

Thus it would look like
D ImmaChocoholic
Not
@ImmaChocoholic
