Well I don’t use my twitter anymore, I did when it first became popular, but I got bored with it…haha Anyways, I got a few hundred followers actually.
What I did was I followed certain actors and bands that I liked. Then I browsed through the other people who were following them, because if they’re following the same people that means they must be interested in the same things. Then I started to talk to the people that I followed and we did have lots of the interests and we like lots of the same music and whatever. Then they followed me back.
And it also helps if you have a profile pic and a description about yourself.

If you want more followers just follow who is going to follow Just do this:
1 – Follow @TeamAutoFollow – To get you in the list (see next)
2 – Follow the team – (see the list at http://teamautofollow.com/ – follow as many as you would like, we all follow back)
For extra followers:
– Include #TeamAutoFollow in your post (as often as possible)
– Include #TeamAutoFollow in your Bio (You can do this at the end of it, people are more prompt to follow when they know that you will follow back)
– RT and follow @TeamAutoFollow Tweets (a little help once in awhile is appreciated)
– Comeback everyday for a #ShoutOut

and these are really effective
It’s all about other people being able to find you. Try this;
– Post plenty of tweets. These will show up in other people’s searches and get you seen. If they like what you’ve written, they may follow you.
– Put some text about your location in your Bio. A lot of people search on Twitter for people local to them.
– Join in with hashtags (subjects that come up in Trending Topics, like #moviesthatnevergetold). Click on it, see what people are doing and add to it. Your answer will show up to people whow are following the subject and, if they like your answer, they may follow you.
– Best thing to do is follow other people (search for a subject you’re interested in and you’ll find them) and talk to them. If they like what you say, they’ll start following you 🙂
