if i download an app on to my ipod touch, such as twitter or facebook, will they work if there isnt wifi internet around?
ok what about some app like an app that updates you on sports events. i understand u need wifi to download them. i mean after downloading them. for example, i download an app and i go out someplace, will they work?

I don’t think so, but you can always go to a restuarant or some public place with free internet access

Not ones like you mentioned. you also need wifi or service to download them, too. If the app doesn’t need internet, then you do not need wifi for it. Twitter and Facebook do need wifi though.
