Question by superpanoramas: My Twitter account follows 3- 4 people a day I never followed. Nothing seems to change it. How do I stop it?
I am trying this again because the previous time I asked no one seemed to understand what I was asking.
– My problem isn’t about people following me, it is about ME “following” other people I never followed and no clue who they are and how I end up “following” them – about 3-4 every single day. I am only following 15 people, and I would get up in the morning and Twitter tells me that now I am following 18 people and I see 3 total strangers added to the list of people “I am following”. So every day I have to unfollow 3-4 strangers I never followed in the first place.
– I DID change my password, and it is still happening, so if you recommend that I change my password (like 2 people at my previous attempt), you haven’t read my question.
– I don’t use any apps or Twitter automation software.
So: how do I end up “following” people every day that I never followed or even checked out on Twitter? And how do I stop it? I only want to see updates from people I actually followed, not total strangers.

Did you clicked some a URL before which asked for your permission and click “Allow”? This could be from a Twitter theme, gain followers website, twitter poll etc.
Anyway, go to settings > connections. If there’s something in there you don’t recognise, click revoke access.
